Ok, so many of you didn’t know this little fact that I sing…whether I sing good or not – I would let you be the judge, but I have a set of pipes (loud ones) and I do enjoy singing! So we packed up and headed to Houston, me & my sister! All I can say is it is nothing like what you see on tv. There were *thousands* of people, handfuls of people I could hang with and about 98% of the rest were people that literally were insane…no seriously, I’m not kidding. You get your tickets, day one…sitting in cattle call for hours. You have to come back day two where you sit forever while the producers grab what shots they need to put on tv. There are cameras everywhere riding up and down on golf carts and their big production crews out front. After hours of waiting you make it inside where you and the rest of the world wait while they shuttle you in groups of four to one of ten audition booths. If you are picked, you get a ticket not to see J.Lo, Steve, or Randy. No, you have yet another set of producers to make it through. If you make it through them, then you come back a month later to see the real judges! Out of the thousands in round 1, they pick 200. Some good, some terrible…all for entertainment purposes
It was long, exhausting, hilarious…and in the end my sister and I found a fab. cupcake shop in Houston and indulged in many on the way home
Here are some people when you watch the show tonight that we got to meet, maybe they made it through, maybe not! But keep an eye out for them when you watch.
Here we are day two!
And here are our tickets and arm bracelets that you could NOT lose or take off for three days! Yes, we had to bath with these suckers…I was never so ready to get this thing off!
These two girls were in our group…they came all alone, and were instant friends after meeting! They knew eachother for a mere 1 second and were braiding eachother’s hair and sharing food together…laughing & carrying on together picking eachother up, fixing eachother’s clothes..ect ect. They rode off into sunset together, but I’m willing to bet they may have made it for entertainment purposes!!
omg it’s so early in the morning!! Day two was so exhausting!
The couple on the left, were nuts! But were on the camera’s constantly for their bizarre get up! No, they could not sing! The guy to the left, was an elderly man, who looked so wise! I don’t know if he could sing, but they interviewed him…I hope he made it…just for being him!
This guy to the left COULD sing, and was amazing! The picture to the right…guy w/blue arrow was great! Girls on the ground w/red arrow were disgusting, no other words, and the girl w/green arrow was literally busting out of her dress, top and bottom and kept itching her behind!
We finally made it in…after hours of sweating & insanity! We set up for camera crews to all sing the song “I’m so excited!”
Guy to right was beyond wierd, but entertaining. Guy to right was AMAZING! Hope he made it through!
Guy to left was NUTS, but he was he could sortakinda sing.

Picture to right, the lines start with auditions!
Me heading up to audition w/my group! One of the judges for my group was Michael Sarver…from a few previous American Idol seasons, and right before I walked up to audition, he got a phone call and walked away from the table,,,and at this point they had already picked probably 100 with still around 3000 left to audition. They called all 10 tables of producers to a meeting in the back…to tell them to hold off on allowing others in w/tickets because they had met most of their quota and still had 3,000 left to go through. All in all, we had a great time! Would I do it again, probably not!

It’s not like what you see on tv…that’s for sure!
